working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Wilmington,
North Carolina, 28401! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift:
Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of
experience on the cardiac floor required. License: Active nursing
license required. Certifications: BLS & ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: -
Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor. - Traveler
experience required unless the traveler has more than 24 months of
cardiac experience. - Skills in Cardiac Telemetry,
PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. - Proficiency in sheath removal,
interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and post MI care. -
Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization, cardiac drips
management (no titration), and chest tube management. -
Certification in BLS and ACLS is required. Description: RTO after
booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any
call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a
cancellation. Ratios vary per acuity with 1:4 for surgical step
down and 1:5-6 for lower acuity. Weekend requirement is 4 shifts
per 4 weeks, with flexibility. Contract staff may be required to
report to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Candidates
must be comfortable floating to other units based on skill sets and
census. Patience diagnoses may include atrial fibrillation, CHF,
ACS, CAD, various cardiac conditions, and post-surgical recovery.
Special procedures may include CABG, TAVR, and other vascular
surgeries. Unit systems include Pyxis and EPIC. Proper care of
arterial lines, chest tubes, and external CPAP/BIPAP is expected.
Candidates will be reviewed for EKG proficiency prior to starting
this specialty role. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on
different units. Candidates must have two manager or supervisor
references from within the past 12 months preferred upon
submission. Travelers may not work more than 5 consecutive days or
