Director, Plasma Logistics Supply Planning
This position is based out of our office in Clayton, NC - 100%
onsite

The overall responsibility for the Director, Plasma Supply Chain
Planning is to provide leadership of the tactical operation and
strategic alignment of Plasma Supply Planning within the Plasma
Logistics Centers (PLCs) within Grifols Worldwide USA (GWWO).
Responsibilities also include plasma inventory management and the
facilitation of the IBP monthly process cycle.

Provides guidance, mentorship, coaching, and support to facilitate
the professional growth and development of employees through robust
training programs and continued investment in employee advancement
curriculum.
Oversight of the tactical execution of Plasma Supply Chain Planning
and facilitate the Plasma Supply IBP (Integrated Business Planning)
activities in alignment with Global Plasma Procurement,
Manufacturing Plants and External Customers, and Biopharma Business
Operations, ensuring that the strategic, operational and financial
targets of the company are supported appropriately.
Responsible for the development, maintenance and evolution of
accurate and astute forecasting models to ensure the transparency
of plasma requirements to meet commercial demand.
Responsible for identifying and implementing new processes and
methods to optimize efficiency and decrease cost.
Provide strategic direction and oversight for production plan
coordination, plasma and fraction batch retrieval, pool assembly &
execution, unit scanning / interdiction, scrap reporting data
verification / reconciliation, Batch Production Record (BPR) and
documentation completion, Inventory update and the manufacturing
pool delivery processes for the Plasma Logistics Centers.
Proactive management of inventory and working capital requirements
through planning and reporting, assessment of cycle time and
management of weeks of supply according to established
parameters.
Ensures the appropriate controls are in place to manage the
accuracy / integrity of the perpetual inventories while maintaining
close communication and coordination with Supply Chain Planning /
Scheduling, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Operations (QO),
Regulatory Affairs and Plasma Operations.
Responsible for physical inventory accuracy, by providing direction
and overseen weekly inventory cycle count activities to satisfy
internal control requirements and external financial audit
requirements.
Provide necessary support to all financial or regulatory audits,
SOX compliance and related requirements.
Provide strategic direction for relevant Plasma Master Data
management, including Customer and Vendor Master Data, in
accordance with standard operating procedures for GWWO USA.
Provide strategic insights to the GWWO USA organization and
participate as active member of the GWWO USA leadership team.
Actively participate as Plasma Supply Chain Planning representative
in the development of strategic and long-range plans, analysis and
implementation of business development opportunities and
coordination of Lifecycle Management (LCM) projects and other
strategic initiatives.
Responsible for the timely problem resolution of donor, plasma
procurement, testing and inspection discrepancies and communicates
with external and internal customers to ensure that discrepant
plasma issues are accurately verified prior to pool assembly and
appropriate corrective action plasma have been identified.
Establishes departmental performance objectives and measurements
and generates metrics, plasma supplier efficiency reports and Key
Performance Indicators (KPI) tracking.
Responsible for developing and revising current departmental
policies and procedures to drive efficiencies and optimization
throughout the supply chain with ensuring accuracy, quality and
safety.
Oversees all aspects of the departmental technical training and
safety programs.
Manages Department budgets, expenses and operations within
established parameters.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business
Administration, Logistics or related field. Master's degree
preferred.
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or
a combination of directly related education and experience and/or
competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.
- Example: - If a job level requires a Bachelor's degree plus 4
years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of
experience, an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or a
Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in increasing positions within
the field of Supply Chain Management, Materials Management or
Finance.
In-depth exposure to the S&OP/IBP process to drive cross
functional consensus, demonstrating skills in conflict resolution,
negotiations, and problem solving.
Project or technical leadership experience required.
Supervisory or management experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in Demand and Supply planning, S&OP/IBP processes
and related functions. Strong understanding of inventory management
and reporting tools. Ability to communicate well with various
levels within the organization. Knowledge of Supply Chain current
Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and compliance requirements for
biopharmaceutical processes. Excellent and demonstrated project
management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to
analyze and interpret data, identify errors, and provide corrective
solutions. Strong financial, planning and controlling background
desired.

Occupational Demands
Work is performed in an office and/or a laboratory/manufacturing
environment. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure
to infectious organisms. Exposure to electrical office equipment.
Exposure to extreme cold below 32*, miscellaneous production
chemicals, moving machinery and production equipment. Exposure to
high levels of noise on production floor. - Personal protective
equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves.
- Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement
of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated
movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. - - Occasionally
walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate
lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 35lbs.
Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within
the United States. Able to communicate complex information and
ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and
understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and
sentences.
Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or
written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals.
Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to
diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus
on issues.
Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual
issues.
