Location: Jacksonville, NC (Camp Lejeune)
Compensation: These are non-Union roles, so pay can vary widely
depending on your experience. They currently are targeting
industry-experienced candidates, so base rate would typically come
in between -$34/hr and -$39/hr. Overtime is paid at 1.5X after 40
hours. You also are provided a company vehicle, gas card, laptop,
and cell phone.
Schedule: You generally will be providing service to customers at
Camp Lejeune Mon thru Friday. Occasional weekend or night work may
be required for after-hours emergencies, but it is uncommon.

As an Engineering Technician / Controls Specialist, you will be
responsible for monitoring the Metasys/FX systems for DDC controls
covering 400 facilities at Camp Lejeune. Daily responsibilities
include troubleshooting alarms, identifying maintenance/performance
issues and coordination with the OT engineer and PWD staff. The
Johnson Controls Metasys and Facility Explorer systems will be used
to identify, troubleshoot, and triage alarms for the buildings in
the system. The technicians will submit work orders based on these
alarms. The Emergency Management Control System (EMCS) Technician
should have experience working with building control systems to
optimize and ensure efficient daily operation of the buildings in
the system. As the system scales to new buildings, these
technicians will monitor and submit work orders for all the
buildings connected to the EMCS. Some essential Functions
--- Maintain Niagara 4 and SBC Alarm Classes, Alarm Extensions,
Trending Extensions, and Alarm & Trending Portal Configurations in
accordance with existing FX14 Server standards, and CAMLEJ DDC
--- Maintain existing SBC level Graphical User Interface (GUI)
setup and field level user access roles
--- Provide Site Discrepancy Logs for each field level SBC for
Electrical, Mechanical and/or DDC issues requiring Base Maintenance
and/or the installing contractor
--- Support CAMLEJ Work Reception with user access roles for
management of the existing GUIs and Alarm Maintenance.
--- Perform field diagnostics and coordinate with other ECMS
technician on alarm validation and resolution.
--- Ensure timely software backups are created for projects and
--- Provide service support on existing systems ensuring their
proper and efficient operation as well as providing ongoing support
to the facility's building engineers.
--- Direct Digital Controls / Building Automation Controls
experience, ideally to include Construction, maintenance, and
integration of automation components.
--- Have an understanding of and comfort navigating computer
operating systems, including the ability to configure and debug
computer and networking problems.
--- Clear ability to work with electronic equipment such as volt
meters, amp meters, oscilloscopes, etc.; the ability to
troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry, including
reading and interpreting electrical and electronic diagrams; and a
working understanding of AC power circuitry including breakers,
multi-phase power, etc. (120VAC and greater).

--- Specific software used includes: Microsoft Office, Tridium
Niagara 4, JCI Facility Explorer 14, JCI CCT, JCI Metasys, Distech
Controls EC-Net4, and Distech Controls gfx.
