Job Description:
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Permitting and Community Specialist
researches and prepares documentation for required permits as it
relates to building and executing large scale infrastructure
projects. Assists in preparing the permit application packages that
meet the requirements of local governments and jurisdiction based
on site location as well as governing agencies or any other
relevant entities. The role will also include the research and
outreach to local communities for involvement and assistance. WORK

without notice. The Permitting and Community Specialist functions
as determined by Sunenergy1 standards which include, but are not
limited to: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Research steps
needed to obtain local zoning or special use permits for each
project. - Heavy researching and tracking of county ordinances. -
Establish, and communicate timelines for permitting processes in
conjunction with municipalities, State and Federal permitting
processes. - Attendance at all meetings and public hearings
associated with these permitting processes. - Assistance with the
creation of presentation materials to promote projects for these
meetings. - Research ways of community involvement for multiple
project areas. - Coordination and of permit applications. -
Communicate to leadership and project teams project of
timing/obstacles encountered that may impact issuance of permits. -
Research of additional states and their permitting processes as
projects dictate. - Track upcoming projects, timelines, for
submittals. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's Degree and research ability
mindset. - Must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal,
written and verbal communication skills - Experience working with
government agencies, jurisdictions and a general understanding of
planning board structure is a plus, not required. - Ability to read
and comprehend site planes and designs, a plus, not required. -
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office suite including MS Project,
Excel and PowerPoint Physical Demands: The physical demands
described herein are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this
job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is
required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and
reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to
occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds and
drive a vehicle long distances at times. Employment Type: Full Time
