*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team to give back to America's heroes and help them receive their well-deserved Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits in Jacksonville.*Summary** Part-time, 2-3 days / week* $850-900 / day* 5 appts / day* No treating or prescribing* No refraction*Responsibilities** Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. *No refraction required** Diagnose visual disorders and document findings* Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.* Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and medical terminology.* Utilize systems for managing patient appointments and medical records efficiently.*Experience** Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.* Valid state license to practice optometry. *North Carolina license required.** Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system and common ocular diseases.* Familiarity with medical records management systems is advantageous.* Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient interaction.* Previous assessment experience preferred, but not required.Join our team and contribute to enhancing the vision health of our Veteran community while enjoying a fulfilling career as an Optometrist.Job Type: Part-timePay: $850.00 - $900.00 per dayExpected hours: 16 - 24 per weekSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* No nights* No weekendsLicense/Certification:* Optometry License (North Carolina) (Required)Ability to Commute:* Jacksonville, NC 28546 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Jacksonville, NC 28546: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
