Job Summary:The Chief of Security is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Security and Communications functions of the HealthSystem under the guidance of the Vice President of Ancillary Services. Minimum Requirements:High School graduate with demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills. Baccalaureate or Associates degree preferred. Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Certification required and must be Commissioned as a North Carolina Criminal Justice Company Police Officer. Management experience with company police in a hospital or institutional environment preferred. Two to five years' experience in a management or supervisory capacity. Four years' experience in law enforcement, security, or related field. Successful completion of NFPA Life Safety Code Seminar and National Safety Council School desirable. Have and maintain a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of North Carolina.
