Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be an integral part of the finance and accounting team. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for completing payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. This position is located in Morehead City, NC.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


Verify approval on all invoices or check requests

Coding of invoices and ensuring correct approval, sorting, coding, and matching of invoices/receipts

Able to process and enter 100-400 transactions per week

Sort, print, and mail checks on weekly basis

Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

Protects organization's values by keeping information confidential.

Assist in audits, including pulling documents and populating audit schedules

Ability to process and follow-up on rush items

Special projects as assigned

Must be able to follow standard filing procedures, which includes standing for a period of time and lifting files (less than 25 lbs.)


Minimum Qualifications:


Minimum of 1+ years recent working experience as an accounts payable clerk

Embody rock-solid ethics, be well organized, detailed oriented and a self-starter; have the ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume position.

Excel skills a must

Strong organizational skills.
