Candidate must submit resume to be considered for the position. New
Bern, NC / Full-timePlan layout and perform all bench and machine
operations to construct, alter and repair intricately designed and
constructed tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, machine attachments and
mechanisms where a high degree of skill and an extensive knowledge
of tooling practices and applications is
required.ResponsibilitiesExercise necessary safety precautions in
various tasks including the proper use of PPE.Work from complicated
drawings and specifications; use a wide variety of precision
instruments for exacting measurements.Layout work and plan
machining and bench procedures.Perform critical bench and assembly
operations to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and finish
work.May act as lead man on any given tooling project, allocating
work to tool room personnel specializing in the various areas of
machining and bench operations.Perform development and experimental
work.Select allowances and materials and proceed from own
conception in absence of design and specifications.Assume
responsibility for quality workmanship and dimensional
accuracy.Clean and oil machines and maintains clean and orderly
work area.Specify and requisition required spare and replacement
parts.Support the documentation to tool charges.Prepare sketches
for parts.Work with minimal guidance in all facets of tool and
dieAbility to work in a team environment expressing good
communication skills.Participate in "Continuous Improvement
Process".Perform all other duties as assigned.Your ProfileJob
Qualification Requirements:2-Year College degree or 4-Year
ApprenticeshipExperience with sheet metal forming and cutting
tools.Using Hand Tools and all Measuring Devices pertaining to
Tooling and Machining dimensionsUse gauges to determine dimensional
requirements.Be able to handle pressure, interruptions and meet
deadlines.Any of the above requirements/qualifications may be
waived for the successful candidate.Knowledge:Milling, turning,
drilling and grinding machines.Mig, Tig, and Stick WeldingCNC
technology.Wire EDMThorough knowledge of the lock-out/tag-out
procedures.Basic understanding of electrical power
circuitry.Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years as Toolmaker in
Manufacturing Environment orJourneyman's card in Tool/Die or
Machinist orAccredited 2-year Trade School in Tool/Die or
MachiningYour Pay & BenefitsThe pay range posted for this position
is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact
compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and
work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then
the maximum payout potential is 200% of target with details laid
out within the plan document. Benefits offered include the
