Methodist Home for Children offers residential treatment for
dually-diagnosed children and teens in Jacksonville, NC. Typically,
these young people need out-of-home care but don't meet criteria
for inpatient psychiatric services. Our goals are to help youth
learn to live as productively and independently as possible, and to
help youth manage behavioral issues so they can return to a public
We are currently seeking Associate Professionals for our group
home services in Jacksonville, NC.
Under the direction of the Residential Program Manager, the
Associate Professional provides primary care, guidance, and
treatment to youth, as well as supervision and coordination of
daily programmatic activities. Other duties include, but are not
limited to, the following:
1) Retaining primary responsibility of service delivery of a
comprehensive program of care and treatment for youth in
2) Implementing direct treatment services according to an
individualized Treatment and/or Person-Centered Plan and consistent
with the overall program model.
3) Teaching youth a curriculum of skills, including social,
self-help, and independent living skills.
Associate Professionals in North Carolina MUST meet the
Bachelor's Degree in a human service field with less than one
(1) year of full-time, post-bachelor's degree experience with the
client population; or Master's Degree in a human service field with
less than one (1) year of full-time, post-graduate degree
experience with the client population.
Must maintain a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving
