Job Description:
Our client, a leader in plastics recycling and manufacturing, is
seeking a dedicated Grinder Operator to join their team. As a
Grinder Operator, you will be an essential part of the operations
supporting the recycling process. The ideal candidate will
demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive
approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Grinder Operator Location: Pollocksville, NC Pay Range:
Based on Experience Shift: 1st Shift What's the Job? Operate
Hosokawa granulation equipment to process plastic scrap into
uniform regrind particles. Visually inspect incoming plastic scrap
to identify polymer types and ensure proper separation. Sort and
segregate materials to prevent cross-contamination between
different polymers. Load scrap into the grinder hopper, monitor
operation, and adjust settings for optimal performance. Perform
routine maintenance, cleaning, and blade inspections to maintain
equipment efficiency and safety. What's Needed? Previous experience
operating granulators, grinders, or similar machinery in plastics
recycling or manufacturing environments preferred. Strong knowledge
of common plastic polymers such as HDPE, PP, PET, PVC, and ABS,
with the ability to identify them visually. Proven judgment and
meticulous attention to detail in material sorting to avoid
cross-contamination. Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand
for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks during 12-hour
shifts. Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment setup, monitoring,
and troubleshooting. Forklift certification / Willingness to obtain
