Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first As a Medical Assistant you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. Working onsite in a clinical environment and reporting to the Center Administrator you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 240 Hwy 17 North, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 As a Medical Assistant you will perform clinical tasks such as: Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type Obtain and record medical history and vital signs Room patients and assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments Perform specimen collection and point of care testing Prepare and administer medication under the direction of healthcare provider Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (HER) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including documentation of HEDIS and Stars quality measures Required Qualifications An active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAH, AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, or NHA Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5 years of experience and approval from Provider 1 years of MA experience CPR Certified We consider this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB Other Qualifications Phlebotomy experience Medication/vaccine administration experience Value-based Care experience includes knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience Use your skills to make an impact Alert Humana values personal identity protection. LI-JM3 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $40,000 - $52,300 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
