Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry RN – North Carolina Start Date:
March 16, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation:
Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift, 36
hours per week, 13-26 week contract Highlights: Post-cardiac
surgery step-down unit caring for patients following CABG, valve
replacements, TAVR, and other cardiac/thoracic procedures Patient
ratios vary by acuity: 1:4 for surgical step-down, 1:5-6 for lower
acuity telemetry patients Comprehensive cardiac skill set required
including sheath management/removal, dysrhythmia interpretation and
management, and cardiac drip titration Epic charting system with
Pyxis medication management 24-hour unit orientation with
interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, respiratory, PT,
and rapid response Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week period
(flexible scheduling) Requirements: Active North Carolina or
Compact state RN license Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry
experience required Travel nursing experience required unless
candidate has more than 24 months of cardiac experience Current
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must successfully pass
EKG testing prior to start date Proficiency in cardiac telemetry,
PCU/step-down care, sheath removal, dysrhythmia management,
pre/post cardiac cath care, and management of cardiac drips
Experience with chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, non-invasive airway
management, and central/peripheral line care Flu vaccination
required (medical/religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great
