Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Providing occupational therapy services within a K-12 school setting, this position supports students from PreK through 8th grade to enhance their academic and functional abilities. The role involves collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to deliver individualized therapy plans that promote student success. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct assessments and develop individualized occupational therapy plans for students - Implement therapeutic interventions to improve students motor, sensory, and functional skills - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities - Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations - Participate in team meetings and IEP planning to ensure cohesive support for students Desired Experience and Qualifications: - Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with experience in school-based settings - Background in healthcare and home health occupational therapy is an asset - Ability to work effectively with children from PreK through 8th grade - Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage with families and school staff - Knowledge of educational regulations and special education processes Position Details: - Location: Hamlet, NC - School level: PreK-8th grade within a K-12 school environment - Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week - Duration: 2026-2027 school year (NSY) - Contract position with a team of 3 occupational therapists This opportunity provides the chance to positively impact childrens lives through tailored occupational therapy services in a supportive school community.
