arterial blood gases Oxygen administration Non-invasive airway
management Oral suctioning Tracheostomy care and management
Description: This role is for an ED Holding Support position. The
unit has patients located within the Emergency Department waiting
for inpatient beds. Patients may have any medical or surgical adult
diagnosis. Travelers may encounter PCU-level patients. Travelers
are expected to take med-surg/telemetry cases and float to areas as
needed, including the ED and MedSurg. Ratios are targeted at 1:7
for med-surg/telemetry or 1:4 for PCU-level patients. Every other
weekend shift is required. Contract staff may be called to work
during catastrophic events or disasters. This unit serves adult
patients with various medical/surgical conditions. The unit is
fast-paced and handles very sick patients. Standard equipment
includes cardiac monitors and IV pumps. Requirements Required for
