working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVOR RN in
Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401! Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CVOR
experience License: NC or Compact license required at time of start
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - CVOR
experience; ECMO and Impella experience Description: RTO after
booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any
call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a
cancellation. Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience is required.
Traveler experience is not required. Locals accepted. Preferred
skills include ACLS certification and level 1 trauma experience. It
is preferred that candidates are proficient in scrubbing cardiac
cases, but this is not a requirement. Ratios are 1:1 during shifts.
Call requirement involves 4 ten-hour shifts Monday through Friday
with call on scheduled days. There may be a week where they would
work 5 days if they come in on their call weekend. Average of 14
call days per 6-week schedule. Candidates may float to the main OR
on the same campus if there is no volume in CVOR. Call shifts every
third weekend are mandatory. Candidates must be prepared to work
during a catastrophic event or disaster. Patient diagnoses include
CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, aortic dissection, TAVR, and more. Familiarity
with medications and documentation systems such as Pyxis and EPIC
is expected. Candidates may need to complete modules prior to start
and annually. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different
units. Candidates should be comfortable floating based on the job
description with no restrictions or special requests. Candidates
must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No RTO is allowed during the
first week of the assignment due to orientation. All testing must
be completed within 48 hours. Pending references at the time of
submission are acceptable, but required at the time of start. Two
manager or supervisor references from within the past 12 months are
highly preferred. Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row
or more than 60 hours in a week. 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing
