Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist – North Carolina Start Date: February 16, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts (6:15 AM – 4:45 PM), Monday through Friday with call requirements Highlights: Specialized cardiovascular operating room with advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, and aortic dissections 1:1 patient ratios ensuring focused, high-quality surgical support Experience with advanced cardiac support technologies including ECMO and Impella Epic charting system and 24 hours of comprehensive orientation Call requirement: Two days per week and every third weekend, averaging 14 call days per six-week schedule Opportunity to work with a full range of cardiac and thoracic surgical cases in a dynamic environment Requirements: Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience required CVOR experience with competency in cardiac surgical procedures Experience with ECMO and Impella required BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred Level 1 trauma experience preferred Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases preferred but not required North Carolina or Compact state license required at start Willingness to float to main OR on same campus based on volume needs Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a comprehensive cardiovascular surgical program featuring complex cardiac procedures ranging from coronary artery bypass grafts to advanced valve replacements and thoracic cases.
