Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Travel Nurse RN – MS/Tele (Orthopedics/Neuro Spine) Location: Winston-Salem, NC Facility: Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Shift: Days | 3x12s | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 02/09/2026 Crisis Response Assignment Job Overview Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Telemetry for a fast-paced Orthopedics & Neuro Spine unit. This is a crisis response assignment requiring strong clinical skills, excellent time management, and the ability to manage high post-surgical pain needs. The unit primarily cares for orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients. Nurses must be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment with frequent pain medication administration and telemetry monitoring. Unit Details - Patient Ratios: 5–6:1 (may flex to 7:1 in extreme cases) - Patient Population: Adults | Ortho, Neuro Spine, Med-Surg, Post-Surgical - Census: ~37 patients | 39 beds - Charting System: Epic - Scheduling: Self-scheduling; block scheduling options available (F/S/S or S/S/M) - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Float Requirement: Yes – may float to other Med-Surg units within the facility Required Experience & Skills - Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care experience - At least 1 year of Orthopedic experience (required) - MS/Telemetry experience - Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation - IV starts and IV therapy - Pain management for post-surgical and orthopedic patients - Comfortable floating based on census and staffing needs Certifications (Required) - BLS - NIHSS - NC or Compact RN License (must be in hand by start date) Preferred: - ACLS - Charge Nurse experience - About Enterprise Solutions, Inc (NimbusNest, Inc) ESI presents healthcare professionals across all 50 states with a range of options including short and long-term contracts, permanent placements, and travel opportunities.
