Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing Certifications: CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) required within 30 days of employment Must-Have Skills/Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to work flexible hours. Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility is preferred. Direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients is preferred. Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities is preferred. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Behavioral Health. The selected candidate will work in a unit with a total of 77 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:11. The equipment used includes an Electronic Health Record system. The patient population primarily consists of adults. Candidates must have effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team. Crisis management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations are essential.
