Registered Nurse (RN) | Wound/Ostomy Location: Wilmington, NC Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,191 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Wound/Ostomy RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401! Job Opportunity – Wound / Ostomy Care Specialist – North Carolina Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 40 hours per week; no call, no float, no weekend requirements Highlights: Specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care position serving diverse patient populations from neonates to geriatrics Day shift only with excellent work-life balance and no on-call responsibilities Epic charting system with comprehensive orientation based on experience level Contract length of 13 weeks with opportunity to work 40 hours per week Collaborative hospital setting focused on advanced wound care management including wound vacs and complex wound treatment First-time travelers accepted; locals welcome Requirements: Minimum 5 years of wound/ostomy care nursing experience required Current BLS certification required WCC (Wound Care Certified) or WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse) certification required ACLS certification preferred Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (pending acceptable for submission, must be in hand at start) Hospital and pediatric experience required Epic charting experience required Comprehensive ostomy care skills: colostomy and ileostomy care and management, stoma care (end, loop, double barrel, mucous fistula), continence and skin care management, ostomy equipment selection Advanced wound assessment and management: pressure ulcers (Stages I-IV), venous ulcers, neuropathic ulcers, peripheral arterial ulcers, tunneling, undermining Proficiency with risk assessment tools including Braden scale for adult and pediatric populations Expertise in wound treatments and dressings: wound vac therapy, vacuum assisted closure, alginates, foams, hydrocolloids, silver products, debridement (sharp, mechanical, enzymatic, autolytic), wet to damp dressings, wound cultures Symptom management skills for pain, skin/mucous membrane alterations, altered mental status, constipation/diarrhea, depression/anxiety, fatigue, and stomatitis G-tube/J-tube feeding and site care experience Knowledge of infection control, isolation precautions, and patient/family teaching Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers wound care specialists the chance to make a meaningful impact across the entire lifespan, from neonates to geriatric patients, in a supportive hospital environment.
