Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Wilmington, North
Carolina, 28401! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License:
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in
telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Interpretation of dysrhythmias
and remote monitoring is required. Pre/Post Cardiac Cath and
Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery experience is necessary. Sheath removal
experience is required. Accessing ports, Blood Product
Administration, central line care management, and PICC line
management skills are required. Familiarity with titrating cardiac
drips, specifically Diltiazem and Amiodarone. Description: RTO
after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on
the unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Travelers must
have a teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all
interactions with patients and staff. The unit monitors cardiac
patients with a variety of diagnoses including Congestive Heart
Failure and Arrhythmias. Patients will also include those who have
undergone pacemaker/ICD implantation and pre/post cardiac cath
procedures. The patient ratio during the shift is typically 1:6-7.
Staff will be expected to float as needed to different units within
the facility. A commitment to completing 5-6 weekend shifts is
required. Candidates may be assigned to work during catastrophic
events, mass casualties, or disasters. It is essential to adhere to
the call-off policy, which is strongly enforced. The unit utilizes
medication and documentation systems for patient care. Candidates
must pass EKG testing prior to starting. Reference checks from two
manager/supervisor contacts from within the past 12 months are
preferred. Candidates must be comfortable floating with no
restrictions or special requests. Applicants should be prepared to
work two out of three major holidays. All preferred skills and
requirements must be met for consideration for this position.
Completion of mandatory training modules prior to starting will
