Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Required Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required Accessing ports and Blood Product Administration experience Central Line/care management, PICC line management Cardiac drip-titration skills for Diltiazem and Amiodarone Post Cardiac Cath experience Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancel and DNR. The ratios for patient care are 1:6-7. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Local hires are accepted with a rate difference. Weekend requirements include 5-6 weekend shifts, equating to every other weekend. Contract staff may be assigned to work during storm or hurricane events. Staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Clinical units monitor cardiac patients and administer cardiac drips such as Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine. Sheaths pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop procedures are performed on the unit. All staff must pass EKG testing prior to the start of the assignment. Candidates must interview prior to finalizing the offer. Travel pairs are allowed but must submit for and work on different units. Charting experience is required, particularly with specific electronic health record systems. References are preferred at the time of submission. Travelers cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or exceed 60 hours in a week. Modules completion is required prior to the start and annually.
