Job Description:
Our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are responsible for
overseeing the care of our senior residents. These hands-on
caregivers work directly to assist residents with daily care needs.
They are responsible for supervising nursing assistants and
maintaining a high standard of care, accurate record-keeping and
licensing requirements as directed by the Director of Nursing.
Excellent communication skills and knowledge of state regulations
and medication administration are necessary. LPNs must be
dedicated, compassionate, and respectful. We are looking to hire
LPN's for our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living area. Full time

Current Licensed Practical Nurse license, CPR certification or
ability to acquire within 60 days, Experience in senior care is
preferredJob Duties and Responsibilities:Direct the day-to-day
functions of the Elder Assistants and Medication Technicians in
accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that
govern the long-term care facility.Ensure that the written policies
and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing
service department are followed by all nursing personnel assigned
to you.Cooperate with other resident services when coordinating
nursing services to ensure that the resident's total regimen of
care is maintained.Ensure that the nursing personnel under your
direction are following their respective job descriptions.Perform
administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports,
studies, charting, etc. as necessary.Participate in the facility's
quality assurance program for the nursing service
department.Participate in the updating of the resident's written
discharge plan as required.Assist in planning the nursing services
portion of the resident's discharge plan as necessary.Participate
in surveys (inspections) made by authorized government
agencies.Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning
the activities of your shift are required.Periodically review the
department's policyprocedure manuals, etc. Make recommendations for
revisions.Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support
personnel, in planning the shifts services, programs and
activities.Interpret the department's policies and procedures to
personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies as
required.Assist with admission, transfer and discharge residents as
required,Maintain the Daily Census Report and submit to the
Business Office as required.Perform charting and documentation
according to facilities policy and procedure manual.Prepare,
administer and document medication as ordered by physician and
according to facility policy and procedure manual.Function as an
Assistant Responder for Independent Living residents.by Jobble
