Job Description:

Job Summary: Must be able to support and monitor the supplier quality system to achieve the highest levels of efficiency, quality, on-time delivery and cost savings. Duties and Responsibilities: Participates in Supplier assessment and selection. Acts as a liaison and documents issues and their countermeasures during the Supplier launch process. Participates in supplier/engineering technical reviews. Requests, reviews and approves Supplier's PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents (flow charts, PFMES's, control plans, MSA's, dimensional data etc.). Schedules, conducts and documents Supplier visits and audits. Assists and works with Stanadyne receiving plant personnel when Supplier quality issues are identified. Follows up on corrective actions related to audit finding, nonconforming product, or overall supplier performance to ensure effective resolution and timely closure. Works with Purchasing to track ongoing supplier quality and on-time delivery, providing input on supplier suitability to continue supplying Stanadyne with product. Qualifications: Formal training in system/process/product auditsCQA (Certified Quality Auditor) preferredMust possess thorough knowledge of Quality System Regulations and International Requirements (ISO/TS)Good understanding of statistical and problem solving tools Education & Experience: BS/BA degree preferred in a technical field such as Science or EngineeringMinimum 5 years' experience in quality assurance fieldExperience in the automotive industry preferred Travel requirements:Up to 40% travel may be required (including some international travel) and job may require weekend travel Physical requirements:Essential physical requirements, such as climbing stairs, standing, stooping, or typing. Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds.
