join our team today! Position Summary: The Overhead Groundman
performs tasks involving physical labor at construction projects.
This position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and may
clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, and remove waste materials.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities : · Ensure all project work is
compliant with installation standards and is being performed safely
and correctly · Promote and monitor the safety of team members ·
Prepare sites to ensure maximum optimization of construction work
procedures · Clean debris, trash and hazardous materials from
construction sites · Dig trenches as instructed · Assist in
installing drill tooling and pipe · Place traffic signs to warn
traffic of construction in process · Clean and maintain
construction equipment appropriately · Load and unload equipment
from trucks · Fill potholes to facilitate the construction process
· Ensure that all work is being done in compliance with the
company's protocols · Train apprentices and new hires in
construction labor work · Use hand tools to cut and shape material
as per instructions Requirements: Job Requirements &
Qualifications: High school diploma (Preferred) Knowledge of
Overhead & underground installation techniques and standards. Must
have valid driver's license and be willing and able to obtain Class
A CDL License in 6 months (Required) . Physical Requirements: ·
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up
to 50 pounds or more). · Must be able to traverse irregular and
steep terrain. · Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the
workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for
extended periods. · Agility and flexibility to navigate
construction sites and access work areas, including climbing
ladders and scaffolding. · Must be able to position one-self to
work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and
tunnels. · Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of
the day. · Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
· Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and
