Job Description Job Description Overview We are seeking a
dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our automotive
service department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong
background in automotive service management, demonstrating
exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to delivering
outstanding customer service. The Service Manager will oversee
daily operations, ensuring that all service work is performed
efficiently and to the highest standards while fostering a positive
environment for both employees and customers. Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department,
ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Supervise and train service staff, guiding them in best practices
and fostering a great culture. Oversee service writing, ensuring
accurate documentation of services performed and customer
communications. Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify
necessary repairs and maintenance needs. Implement strategies and
processes to meet and exceed all metrics Maintain strong
relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or complaints
promptly and professionally. Collaborate with the sales team to
ensure alignment between service offerings and customer needs.
Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, placing orders as
necessary to maintain adequate stock. Ensure compliance with safety
regulations and company policies within the service department.
Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in
automotive service and repair. Proficiency in CDK, TCC, and JLR is
a plus. Excellent customer service and writing skills for effective
communication with customers regarding their vehicle needs. Proven
ability to implement processes to enhance customer satisfaction and
drive revenue. Strong sales acumen with experience in auto service
management preferred. Exceptional leadership skills with the
ability to motivate a team towards achieving departmental goals.
