Duties Summary You will serve as a OFFICE AUTOMATION ASSISTANT in the Adjutant Department of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION, NEW RIVER. Responsibilities You will use office automation software applications to produce and edit documents with complex electronic drafts, correspondence, presentations, spreadsheets and reports. You will prepare a monthly spreadsheet of Air Station Orders for annual review. You will use Point portal to store, maintain and staff Air Station directives, awards and to maintain a Reports Management page for the command. You will prepare the Quarterly Station Bulletin checklist of command directives and policy memorandums for publication. You will receive visitors and telephone calls, answer inquiries and provide general clerical/administrative support. You will coordinate Freedom of Information acts. You will escalate information systems issues through appropriate channels for required assistance and resolution. Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-04) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing office automation software applications to produce and edit documents with complex electronic drafts, correspondence, presentations, spreadsheets and reports, maintaining database information for retrieval and generation of reports AND providing clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
