and life. The RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and
analytical individual to work on our Finance team as an Accountant,
Financial Reporting. In this role, you will report to the Manager
of Financial Reporting and be responsible for preparing journal
entries, reconciliations, financial statements, financial reporting
packages, and conducting related financial analysis for multiple
reporting entities. You will support month-end, quarter-end, and
year-end closing processes, collaborate with external auditors, and
ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Key
Result Areas
- Prepare various schedules, reconciliations, and journal entries
ensuring accuracy and compliance in areas like premiums, loss
reserves, income taxes, and consolidation eliminations.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
processes.
- Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis and
budget-to-actual comparisons.
- Generate timely and accurate financial statements for internal
and external audiences, including executive leadership, audit
committees, regulators, and the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with external auditors, prepare exhibits, and
support financial audits.
- Create reporting packages for internal and external
stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance for financial filings
and tax returns.
- Document business processes and accounting policies to
strengthen internal controls.
- Perform special projects as assigned.Key Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

- Ability to work independently and resolve complex problems
efficientlyKey Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field
- 2+ years of financial accounting or related experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations
- Industry experience in insurance or financial services
(preferred)
- Understanding of NAIC Statutory Accounting Principles
(preferred)
